For a typical two-to-three hour evening with friends, this order holds up well:

1. Start light (20–30 min). Something with no skill barrier — hand football, arcade, a quick console round. Everyone arrives at different times and this absorbs that.
2. Move to the main thing (60–90 min). Snooker frames, or a proper console session. This is where the evening actually lives.
3. Break (20 min). Café, sit down, talk. Do not skip this — it is what stops an evening feeling like a queue of activities.
4. Finish on something short. One last frame or a few games of hand football. End on energy, not on people checking the time.

Timing your visit

• Weekday evenings are the quiet window. Best if you want a table immediately, or if you are practising alone.
• Weekends are busiest. Worth a phone call ahead, particularly for a private room or a group.
• Straight after work gets you a full evening — and with the floor open until 2 AM, there is no need to rush the last frame.
• Before 4 PM is the student window: 5% off applicable services with a student card.

If you are hosting visitors

Guests from out of town are the hardest brief: you do not know what they like, and you do not want to sit in a room asking "so what do you want to do?"

A venue with several things under one roof solves this by removing the decision. Snooker for those who play, PS5 for the younger ones, arcade and hand football for anyone who wants neither, and a café for the people who came to talk. Nobody has to be polite about a choice they are not enjoying.
